The tradition of the round funnel pan goes back a long way: Romans are said to have prepared their sweet baked goods in them. This pan is also known as a Gugelhupf, wreath or tube pan, and always has the typical inner cylinder in the centre that is also typical for traditional pudding forms. The hole in the middle has a function: the warmth distributes itself in the pan more quickly for an even bake. The high Bundt baking pan is available in one piece or as a leakproof springform pan with a removable funnel base. The materials can vary according to the series. Made of metal, the Gugelhupf pan features a two-way, ceramically reinforced nonstick coating. The platinum silicone model has handles, is heat-resistant and is dishwasher safe.
Conjure sweet cake dreams for your afternoon tea table with the Gourmet collection. The springform pans come in different sizes and have a leakproof base. Unclasp the sides to take out the flat base and replace it with the funnel base to bake marble or sponge cakes. All of the pans have a nonstick coating - nothing sticks to the pan. When the cake is done it is not turned upside down, it is lifted out of the pan instead - simply loosen the clasp on the side to open the springform pan. Flan cases that are topped with fruit and cream are easy to bake in the tart pan. The Bundt pan is perfect for baking cake specialities such as the Gugelhupf, and the rectangular loaf pan can be used for savoury baking goods such as pies and breads. These easy-care, grey-metallic pans must be handwashed. Gourmet newcomers can purchase a four piece set consisting of a springform pan that includes a flat and a funnel base, a tart pan and a loaf pan.
