Frying, stewing and warming up – all in one saucepan
The saucepan is the all-rounder for every kitchen. Whether you are frying, stewing or just gently warming something up, the small pot with the long steel handle makes things easier and is suited for all sorts of dishes.
With WMF saucepans you always have one hand free
Making sauces, warming up meals, cooking puddings or fixing up some cake glaze – all these tasks work best when you always have a hand free to keep stirring. For these types of jobs the WMF saucepan is just the right choice for you. The long handle lets you adjust the position of the saucepan with one hand while keeping the other free for other things. This means you can stop lumps from forming in creams or food being burnt onto the pan before it happens.
The pot walls make all the difference
The saucepan functions similarly to a sauté pan. The difference between the two though is in the walls, which point steeply upwards instead of sloping outwards. Because of this you can use saucepans without much liquid with no problems. You can use them for frying and stewing, which is easier than in the high casserole because of the slightly lower edges.
Size and volume – you decide!
Most WMF cookware sets already include a medium-sized saucepan with a diameter of 16 cm. However, it can be worthwhile to buy both the smaller and larger models of this item of cookware because of the wide range of potential uses. In our assortment you can find saucepans with a diameter between 10 and 24 cm and in volumes between 500 ml and 4.8 l. You can also find well-fitting lids for all our models to make stewing or gentle steaming easier.
High-quality and easy to care for – WMF saucepans

Pressure cooker lids – spare parts in various sizes
Never be without it – a matching lid for your pressure cooker
A matching lid is necessary for the technology in a pressure cooker to work. You can find pressure cooker lids in various designs and sizes in our assortment.
The lid adds the finishing touches to the pressure cooker
The pressure cooker cooks food under a high pressure with the matching insert placed inside the steam. This preserves the flavour and nutrients during the cooking process and shortens cooking times. The excellent features of a pressure cooker mean no kitchen should be without one! However, for the technology inside a pressure cooker to work, it needs a matching lid. It lets the cooker perform its main function: the pot is hermetically sealed and placed under pressure. In this way the physical processes that make pressure cooking possible in the first place get to work inside the pot. The pot is kept absolutely tight by the bayonet lock and the sealing ring inserted in the lid of the container, and the pressure inside is regulated by the control valve and the safety valve so that the pot cannot explode. You can control the pressure setting at any time using a little dial.
If the pressure cooker lid is missing!
The technology behind pressure cooking by generating and releasing pressure in the pan is as simple as it is ingenious and low-maintenance. The technological marvels that are our pressure cooker lids are available separately if yours is faulty or if you just want a spare to go with your pressure cooker set. Lids for our various pressure cooker models are available either as accessories or spare parts, and complement the functional pot. Individual lid handles and sealing rings are also available from our shop if required. Every pressure cooker in our assortment of cookware is quick to set up.
Pressure cooking – a delicious taste in double quick time
One of the major advantages to cooking with our sophisticated pan is the reduced cooking time. Every minute matters in our hectic everyday lives. Pressure cookers can be used to gently cook not only healthy vegetables or potatoes but also meat, fish and poultry. Our clever pots can also be used for frying and stewing. By using the pressure cooker inserts you can cook entire meals all in one go.
To make sure your pressure cooking is trouble-free, the lid must be properly closed. The tried and tested sealing technology makes sure that problems are kept to a minimum. If it becomes clear that your lid is no longer closing completely tight and the pressure is not being built up – this will be noticeable if the valve pins are not rising – it is often useful to clean or replace the sealing ring.
