The menu spoon is mainly used for soups from a shallow plate or sauces. In additionthe spoon can be used for serving dishes as it is the same size as the middle salad spoon. The shape of the bowl end of the table spoon is flatter that the soup/cream spoon and is therefore also suited to meals with a more liquid consistency.
