    WMF strengthens business in China through exclusive partnership with DKSH
    In the future, WMF will join forces with DKSH — the leading company for market expansion services with a focus on Asia — in order to expand its activities in China. Today the two companies have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement. DKSH will thus take over the sale and servicing of fully automatic coffee machines for WMF in its growth market of China. This step is a key element in the continued implementation of WMF's strategic transformation programme. In the future, the company wants to grow its international business much more quickly and increase international revenue. China is one of WMF's most important target markets in this respect. "We have set ourselves the objective of developing the market in China much more intensively to help us stand up better to the competition and tap into greater potential than before," says Peter Feld, Chairman of the Executive Board. "We are therefore delighted that we have found a strong partner in DKSH, enabling us to rapidly push forward our market expansion plans in China."

    DKSH offers WMF continued access to a broad customer base in the hospitality industry across the whole of China — from top-class hotels and restaurants to different department store, bakery and coffee house chains. Furthermore, on behalf of WMF in China, DKSH will also take care of market analyses tailored to the Chinese market, market research, marketing and sales as well as logistics and after sales. On the other hand, WMF has an extensive range of professional coffee machines that will enable DKSH's existing and new customers to develop innovative and profitable concepts within the coffee business.

    WMF laid the foundation for market expansion in China at the start of 2014 and recruited the former Levis and Starbucks manager Christopher Cheng as Regional Manager to accelerate its ambitious growth course in China. "We have already made good progress in the Chinese market during a short period of time – in the first six months of the year alone our business has developed extremely well," says Peter Feld. "This is a good sign. However, we will not rest on our laurels," continues Feld.
