WMF represented five-fold at Geislingen training fair
Hundreds of interested school pupils visited the training fair at the Geislingen vocational training centre on 6 May 2017 to find out about a wide range of professions and study options, thus setting the course for their professional future. WMF was among more than 70 exhibitors and was represented at no fewer than five locations, where it showcased its training professions and training courses.
The technical vocational training courses in industrial mechanics, electrical engineering for appliances and systems and mechatronics engineering in particular attracted a great deal of interest. At two locations within the training fair, the WMF collaborated with other companies from the district to give interested young people a chance to build a small pick-up truck with a battery-operated flashlight. It was clear to see how delighted the WMF trainees were to take care of our young visitors! Each completed production step – and, of course, each fully-constructed vehicle – brought a smile to the faces of both the "pupils" and the supervising trainees.
To sum it up: the WMF's renewed involvement in the training fair can be regarded as a success and as both an important and a smart investment in the future.
