WMF Group supports UNICEF nutrition programme

Geislingen/Steige - This autumn, WMF Group will enter into a long-term partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF. The aim of the cooperation is to help children suffering from malnutrition and provide them with healthy nutrition. According to estimates by UNICEF, 165 million children around the world are affected by severe malnutrition. Together with UNICEF, the WMF Group wishes to ensure that the right of all children around the world to develop healthily is a reality.

WMF Group continues successful international growth strategy and launches new brand identity

Geislingen/Steige – The WMF Group will launch a whole new brand identity for its newly established consumer goods division at this year's Ambiente consumer goods trade fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where for the first time WMF, Silit and Kaiser brands will be presented under the common WMF Group brand. "The new brand identity guides our customers and consumers much better through WMF Group’s brand environment," says Peter Feld, Chairman of the Executive Board at WMF. "This clear focus on our customers helps us continue to develop a global brand group, and we thus consistently implement one of our major core strategic goals."

WMF sells subsidiary brand Alfi to Thermos

The WMF Group plans to streamline its brand portfolio within the framework of its strategic transformation programme. In the future, the company plans to give even greater focus to tableware, kitchen products and professional coffee machines. With this in mind, WMF has found a strategic solution for its brand Alfi.

WMF Group continues positive trend in third quarter

In the third quarter of 2014, the WMF Group increased its revenue by 2% over the previous year’s figure to EUR 718.4 million. Adjusted for the sale of the Princess Group in May 2013, revenue grew by 4%. EBIT rose from EUR 32.1 million to EUR 50.1 million at 30 September 2014. This significant increase is particularly attributable to the EUR -13.3 million in charges incurred by Princess in the previous year. Adjusted for Princess, EBIT was 10% higher than in the previous year.

WMF strengthens business in China through exclusive partnership with DKSH

In the future, WMF will join forces with DKSH — the leading company for market expansion services with a focus on Asia — in order to expand its activities in China. Today the two companies have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement. DKSH will thus take over the sale and servicing of fully automatic coffee machines for WMF in its growth market of China.
