WMF Business Unit Consumer GmbH (hereinafter "WMF") offers a Facebook fan page on which we provide information about new products and promotions. Please note that Meta collects certain information from you even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not logged into it. The information that can be viewed here depends on your personal settings. In addition, we process your personal data (e.g. user name, content of the message, etc.) when you contact us by message or write a post on our page. The processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR), in particular to be able to contact you, respond to your posts and adapt and improve our social media presence to the interests of our target groups.

As part of our Facebook presence, we also use the statistical analyses that are provided by the provider as standard (so-called "Facebook Insights"). The following data is provided for a selectable period of time and for the various categories (subscribers, people reached, people interacting) in relation to our Facebook and Instagram presence: Total number of page views, "likes", page activity, post interactions, reach, video views, post reach, comments, shared content, replies, proportion of men and women, origin in relation to country and city, language, views and clicks in the shop, clicks on route planners, clicks on telephone numbers.

We use the available data to make our posts and activities on our social media activities more attractive to users (e.g. to address our customers in a customised way or to optimise the timing of our posts in line with visiting times).

3. Instagram

WMF uses an account on the "Instagram" platform to inform customers and interested parties about products and innovations in image and video formats and to enable direct contact. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland is responsible for the processing of personal data. Please note that data may be processed by Meta even if you do not have a user account or are not logged into one. Data processing on Instagram is based on the legal basis of legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the purpose of analysing and adapting posts and interacting with users of the channel. As the operator of the social media site, we can only view your profile. The information that can be viewed here depends on your personal settings.

Furthermore, as part of our presence on Instagram, we use the statistical analyses that are provided by the provider by default (so-called "Instagram Insights"). These are anonymous statistics that can be used to check the reach and interaction of posts.

4. TikTok

We use an account on the "TikTok" platform to inform customers and interested parties about products and innovations in video formats and thus enable direct contact. Please also note that TikTok collects personal data about your visit to the site even if you do not have your own account or are not logged in to it. As the operator of the social media site, we can only view your profile. The information that can be viewed here depends on your personal settings.

Data processing on TikTok is based on the legal basis of legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the purpose of analysing and adapting posts and interacting with users of the channel.

5. Pinterest

We use an account on the “Pinterest” platform to inform customers and interested parties about products and innovations in image formats. Pinterest Europe Ltd, Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter also referred to as “Pinterest”) is responsible for the processing of personal data on the platform. We receive analysis data from Pinterest regarding ads or content that contain statements about user interaction. As a Pinterest user, it is also possible to make various settings in the account regarding the recording of user behavior on the platform.
