Recipe for Plancha Grill BBQs

Ingredients

8 People
  • For the dough:
  • 250 g Flour
  • 125 g Butter (cold)
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 pkg. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Of salt
  • For the filling:
  • 3 Medium-sized apples
  • 2 Ripe pears
  • 3 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. Chopped nuts
  • Some lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1
For the dough, put flour in a bowl and distribute the cold butter in small pieces over it. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, and salt. Knead everything with your hands into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Step 2
Meanwhile, peel, quarter, and core the apples and pears, then slice them thinly. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Preheat the WMF Plancha to medium heat. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut it to fit well in the Plancha, leaving a border of about 2-3 cm on the sides.

Step 3
Lightly grease the Plancha with butter. Carefully place the rolled-out dough in the Plancha and push the edges up slightly to form a flat dough shape. Arrange the fruit slices on the dough in a shingle-like pattern, alternating apple and pear slices. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and distribute the chopped nuts over the top.
tbsp. Sugar
tsp. Cinnamon
tbsp. Chopped nuts
Step 4
Place the WMF Plancha lid on and reduce the heat to low to medium. Bake the tart for about 25-30 minutes until the dough is golden brown and fully baked. Remove the lid for the last 5 minutes to allow excess moisture to escape. Let the finished tart cool slightly in the Plancha, then carefully remove it and let it cool completely on a cooling rack.
Step 5
TIP: If you don't have a WMF Plancha with a lid, you can also place a heat-resistant metal bowl over the Plancha to create a closed cooking space. Check the cooking status regularly, as cooking times may vary depending on the heat source.
